What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy or trance is a very ordinary process which most of us do on a daily basis. If you imagine when you travelling a familiar or regular journey and you reach your destination but you do not remember parts of the journey. Or, when you are so engrossed in a movie, book or activity and someone enters the room and for a while, you are not aware they entered.

Many clients have expressed that when they are in trance, they have found it very relaxing and some even fall asleep. 

The Hypnotherapist will be able to tap into your subconscious mind during trance to create positive changes. However, you are in full control throughout the session and can open your eyes at any time.

It is not like the stage hypnotherapy, so no, I cannot make you believe you are a chicken. ​

Why Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a combination of Solution Focused Therapy, Neuroscience (brain based therapy) and Hypnotherapy and uses parts from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Neuro linguistic Programming (NLP).

SFH uses the latest Neuroscience to explain the clients issues in a simplified and easy to understand brain explanation and combines this with trance (Hypnosis).

The client will be given with a download at the end of the Initial consultation which can be used each night when going to bed. This will help promote good sleep and support the ongoing therapy sessions. 

Each session is a collaborative process which focusses on the positive aspects in the clients life rather than the issue and by setting small steps to achieving their future goal, unlike other types of therapy, SFH looks at the clients present and preferred future.
